Ingredients in Bread Dipping Oil:
Olive Oil- use a high quality olive oil for the best results. As a main ingredient, quality olive oil will really shine in this appetizer.
Garlic- we are adding in freshly minced garlic when you add the olive oil, but you can also use garlic powder (not minced garlic) if you do not have fresh garlic.
Spices- parsley, rosemary, basil, oregano, crushed red pepper, sea salt and black pepper.
Tools needed to make Carrabba’s Olive Oil and Herb Bread Dip:
- Measuring spoons
- Small mason jar to store the herb mix in
- Small plate to serve the oil on
How to make Carrabba’s Bread Dip:
Combine the spices and herbs together in a jar.
Place 1 Tablespoon of the herb mix on a small plate.
Pour olive oil over the top. Add the minced garlic to the oil.
Tips for the best Olive Oil Dipping Oil:
- Make sure you are using dried herbs and spices. The ratios for fresh herbs would be different.
- Use a high quality olive oil for the best results- it really makes a difference!
- Make the herb and spice mix ahead and store for whenever you need and appetizer or a good snack! Just add the fresh garlic and olive oil when ready to serve.
How to store the herb and spice mix:
Store the prepared herb and spice mix in a sealed container at room temperature. I like to use these small mason jars and keep it in my pantry.

Ingredients
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 Tablespoon black pepper
1 Tablespoon dried parsley
1 Tablespoon dried rosemary
1 Tablespoon dried basil
1 Tablespoon dried oregano
1 Tablespoon crushed red pepper (use less if you prefer less heat)
- For serving
Extra virgin olive oil (I use about 1/4-1/3 cup)
2 cloves garlic, minced
Directions
- Combine the spices and herbs together in a jar.
- Place 1 Tablespoon of the herb mix on a small plate.
- Pour olive oil over the top. Add the minced garlic to the oil.
- Enjoy with crusty bread!
