Caramel. One of my favorite flavors, but filled with dairy. Different dairy free companies are coming out more and more with caramel flavored items, mostly thanks to dates.

Not only are they good for you, but they have a natural caramel flavor making it easy to make dairy free caramel.

This sauce is naturally flavored and sweetened all thanks to dates! Just a little bit of vanilla and salt to bring out the natural flavors and non dairy milk to thin it out. And voila! Easy peasy dairy free caramel sauce.

On a side note, one of my favorite snacks that actually fills me up are dates with peanut butter and chocolate chips. They taste like a caramel peanut butter cup! I just take a date and split it open, take about a teaspoon of peanut butter and top it off with 3 chocolate chips. I’ll eat 3 to 4 of these as a snack and it holds me off until the next meal. It’s nutritious and it tastes like dessert!
